State Incentive Programs - SBDC
New York State wants you to expand or re-locate your business to the state.
Empire State Development Corporation is the public authority that administers the state’s economic development programs. Most of the state programs are targeted at companies creating or saving at least 50 jobs. There is, however, an Environmental Incentive Program (EIP) that does not have a job creation requirement. ESD staffers are very knowledgeable and will guide you through the application process.
The
New York State Energy and Research Authority also has a number of energy conservation programs to assist commercial businesses. In an era of escalating utility costs NYSERDA programs can make the difference between success or failure.
The
New York State Department of Ag and Markets also has programs to assist companies that grow and process agricultural products.
