We wouldn’t tease you with all the wonderful things that the Catskill’s have to offer and then not tell you how to get here to enjoy them. The Catskill’s are easily accessible by air, by train, or you’ll find we are just a short drive from New York City, New England, Canada, and the Mid-Atlantic states. Whether you choose to fly, train, or drive, you will find the trip to be easy, pleasant, and scenic.
By Car
The Catskill Region is served by a series of Interstate highways from the north, south, east, and west that ensure easy driving access to the area. The Region’s major access is off Interstate I-87 ( New York State Thruway) from exit 16 to exit 21B.
- From New York City, New Jersey, and points south use I-87 and Route 17 for direct access.
- From New England routes I-84 and I-90 connect with I-87 and I-86, which is an upgrade of Rt. 17.
- From Canada and the west, routes I-87, I-81, and I-86 provide direct access. For northern portions of the Catskills, exits off of I-88 can be used for access.
- From Pennsylvania use I-84 to connect with I-87.
By Air
The Catskills are served by both regional and commuter service airlines, with service into Albany Airport, Stewart Airport in Newburgh, Binghamton, and Sullivan County. Car rental service is available.

By Train

Service is available from NYC’s Penn Station, as well as from Buffalo-Niagara Fall, Montreal, Burlington, and any connecting Amtrak service. The route provides several stops along the Hudson River for passengers to disembark for points in the Catskills. Rental car agencies and taxi services are available.
Metro-North
Metro-North’s Hudson line services Poughkeepsie from which passengers can access the Catskills by rental car or taxi service.
By Bus

Bus service is available to the Eastern Catskill Region from Trailway stations. Express service form the Port Authority terminal in NYC is available.
Shortline Bus
